About the role

Working closely with management and administration team, you'll be responsible for keeping payroll accurate, compliant and running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Processing fortnightly payroll
• Understand and apply modern awards
• Managing classifications, allowances, overtime, penalties and other Award conditions
• Process leave applications and maintaining employee records
• Managing PAYG withholding and superannuation requirements, including PayDay Super
• Assist with Coal LSL reporting
• Assist with end-of-month reporting and reconciliations
• Providing general finance and administration support

About you

• Proven payroll experience
• Strong practical experience with the Black Coal Mining Award
• Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Great communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
