  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and timekeeping data, prior to each pay cycle.
  • Respond to routine employee payroll and tax inquiries, escalating complex or ambiguous issues to senior payroll team members.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and variance analysis, flagging discrepancies to senior staff for review.
  • Support statutory reporting and filings (e.g., PF, ESI, PT, and TDS in India; equivalent filings in other active countries) by preparing underlying data and documentation.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activity with external payroll vendors, tracking open items and flagging service issues to senior staff.

  • Assist with payroll liability reconciliations and support month-end close activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by gathering and organizing requested documentation and records.
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance risks to senior payroll staff or management.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; comfortable managing recurring deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee data with discretion.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; fluency in English required.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
