Payroll Specialist

German speaking Payroll & Benefits Specialist -1 year fixed term – Budapest | Hybrid

We are currently looking for Payroll & Benefits Specialist (German+English) to join a dynamic international HR operations environment in Budapest. This is a 12-month fixed-term position supporting multiple European countries during a major payroll transformation project.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to complex, multi-country payroll operations, modern HR systems, and a collaborative international team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll & benefits processes for assigned countries
• Handle queries from employees, managers, and HR in a professional and timely manner
• Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and process integrity
• Collaborate with internal HR teams and external payroll providers
• Assist with payroll transition activities and system/process improvements
• Work with HR systems (e.g. Workday, SAP environments) and ticketing tools
• Contribute to service delivery excellence and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• min. 2 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or benefits administration
• Understanding of payroll processes and employee lifecycle activities
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience with HR systems (e.g. Workday, SAP) is an advantage
• English and German language skills for the German and Swiss roles
