Founded in 2015, Knit People is a global leader in business administration services, specializing in global entity management, corporate secretarial services, and comprehensive payroll and HR administrative support. With a mission to empower businesses by ensuring compliance across borders and supporting their global growth, we help companies streamline their operations while adapting to ever-changing regulatory landscapes. We currently support businesses across 40 countries and have offices in Canada, China, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.

We are currently looking for a talented Payroll Specialist to join our fast-growing company. As our future payroll specialist, you will work closely with the accounting, sales and product teams to improve Knit's processes and ensure that all our customers have a fantastic experience!

Please note that this position is currently remote but will transition to an in-office role. As the company moves to an in-office environment, the office will be located in Bangkok.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Onboarding & Integration

  • Perform an audit of new clients' existing payroll setup to ensure everything is configured correctly and the transition to Knit is seamless.
  • Manage the integration process for new clients, ensuring all necessary information is accurately collected, processed, and input into our system.
  • Initiate pre- and post-onboarding calls with clients to ensure all setup processes are completed correctly, and set clear expectations for the ongoing partnership.

Payroll Management & Auditing

  • Fully accountable for the payroll and auditing functions for clients within a geographic region, ensuring compliance with both regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Responsible for scheduling and running payrolls for assigned clients, strictly following standard operating procedures.
  • Perform quarterly and year-end audits, ensuring all payroll data is accurate, compliant, and archived properly.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client profile notes and processing instructions for each client.
  • Provide critical and accurate statutory information to clients in the area of payroll, including tax returns, using relevant resources and knowledge bases.

Client Support & Relationship Management

  • Provide ongoing support to clients by solving payroll-related problems and answering inquiries.
  • Collaborate with clients to improve processes and provide them with best practices to enhance their payroll and HR functions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client payroll concerns, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

Internal Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Organize, coordinate, and/or participate in cross-departmental projects, including the development of internal help documentation, best practices, and workflows.
  • Become an expert on the Knit software platform and a multi-country payroll compliance specialist, capable of teaching and guiding others on all functionalities and features.
  • Provide input and collaborate on strategies to continuously improve the client experience and optimize internal processes.
  • Work closely with teams across the organization to streamline payroll processes and proactively identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Thai, with excellent communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting or payroll analysis, ideally gained in a public accounting firm or payroll analyst role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create working papers, reconcile discrepancies, and analyze complex data sets using formulas, VLOOKUP, basic pivot, etc.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with a strong ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
  • High degree of responsibility and the ability to work efficiently under pressure, adapting quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desirable.
