Payroll Specialist

About The Company Our client is a global alternative investment firm employing a multi-manager model, allocating capital across a broad array of independent teams with diverse strategies.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-monthly expatriate and shadow payrolls in system
• Coordinate with international payroll department and HR in the collection and transmittal of key data to produce payroll
• Prepare and load data into payroll system
• Prepare audit reports and reconciliations to support the validation and finalization of payroll
• Prepare quarterly and annual tax reconciliations, maintain system tax setup, complete state/local tax registrations and process quarterly amendments
• Work with third party vendor to track, research and resolve tax notices
• Support new hire, expat, and secondee payroll setup tasks including auditing employee state/local set-up, collection of tax forms, and answering employee inquiries
• Respond to employee inquiries for payroll related issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3-6 years of multi-state payroll experience
• Experience using Workday for payroll required
• Experience with Global Mobility concepts and/or processing of business travelers
• Familiar with reading and interpreting tax legislation

Salary Range $90,000-$110,000
