We are seeking an Entry-Level Payroll Specialist to join our growing team at a Professional Employer Organization (PEO). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in payroll while gaining experience supporting multiple client companies across various states and payroll cycles.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment. Payroll experience is required, but this role is designed for someone who is early in their payroll career and looking to grow their knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for multiple client companies.
• Assist with multi-state and multi-cycle payroll processing .
• Review payroll information for accuracy, including hours, earnings, deductions, taxes, and adjustments.
• Research and resolve basic payroll discrepancies and questions.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Assist with payroll-related reporting and reconciliations.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
• Communicate with internal teams and client contacts regarding payroll-related questions.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and client information.
• Meet established payroll deadlines and follow standardized payroll procedures.
• Learn and apply company policies, payroll procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Perform additional payroll and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, Associates degree preferred
• 1–2 years of payroll processing experience required.
• Exposure to multi-state payroll preferred.
• Experience with multiple payroll cycles preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet recurring deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Comfortable learning new payroll systems and processes.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred.
• Must be able to work onsite in Cumming, Georgia 8:30am-4:30pm

Ideal Candidate

Compensation

$50,000–$55,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications.
