Payroll Specialist – Tech-Enabled Payroll Operations

We are looking for experienced Payroll Specialists who can take full ownership of end-to-end client payroll operations and use technology to make those operations more accurate, efficient, and scalable.

This is not a role where technology replaces payroll expertise.

It is a role where technology reduces manual work, improves controls, and supports better decisions — while the Payroll Specialist remains responsible for understanding the payroll, managing exceptions, validating results, and ensuring the final outcome is right.

## What You Will Do

* Own and manage end-to-end payroll operations for assigned clients, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery

* Manage payroll calculations, social security processes, payroll-related tax requirements, incentives, time & attendance inputs, and reporting

* Coordinate payroll calendars, client inputs, validations, controls, approvals, and payroll closing activities

* Communicate directly with clients, understand their operational requirements, and manage payroll-related requests and issues

* Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable labor law, social security, tax, and payroll regulations

* Review payroll results, investigate discrepancies, manage exceptions, and take responsibility for payroll accuracy

* Use payroll platforms, automation, and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual work and improve the quality of payroll operations

* Apply your payroll expertise to validate system and AI-generated outputs rather than relying on them without professional judgment

* Identify recurring errors, inefficient workflows, and manual processes, and contribute to improving the underlying process

* Collaborate with technology, product, implementation, and customer-facing teams to improve payroll systems and workflows

* Participate in testing and validating new payroll features, integrations, controls, and automation capabilities

* Help build a more standardized, scalable, and technology-enabled payroll operation

## What We’re Looking For

* Strong hands-on experience in payroll operations

* Strong knowledge of payroll calculations, social security processes, labor law, taxation, incentives, and payroll-related regulations

* Experience managing payroll processes end-to-end

* Ability to understand and resolve complex payroll cases and exceptions

* Strong attention to detail and a high level of ownership for payroll accuracy and deadlines

* Good command of English, with the ability to communicate professionally in both written and spoken business environments

* Confidence working with payroll systems, digital platforms, Excel, and payroll data

* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

* Ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and determine the right corrective action

* Ability to manage multiple clients, payroll processes, priorities, and deadlines in a structured manner

* Openness to using technology, automation, and AI as tools to work more effectively

* Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuously improving payroll operations

## What Will Make You Stand Out

* Experience in payroll outsourcing or managing payroll for multiple clients or legal entities

* Experience working with multinational or international clients

* Experience with complex or high-volume payroll operations

* Familiarity with payroll system implementations, integrations, migrations, or process improvement projects

* Experience testing payroll systems or validating new payroll functionalities

* Hands-on experience with automation, workflow tools, AI-enabled solutions, or data-driven operations

* Ability to look beyond an individual payroll error and identify how the process, control, or system behind it can be improved
