Payroll Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Duties

• Process payroll using various systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other supported payroll platforms
• Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, wages, bonuses, deductions, and benefits in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting and account reconciliation procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while managing payroll data securely
• Prepare and file payroll tax reports, ensuring compliance with employment and labor law regulations
• Administer employee benefits programs including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits
• Collaborate with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) teams to update employee records and process employment changes
• Support audits by providing detailed reports on payroll processing, tax filings, and account reconciliations
• Assist with time & attendance systems such as Kronos or similar platforms to track employee hours accurately
• Handle inquiries related to payroll processing from employees and management promptly and professionally

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian or equivalent platforms
• Strong understanding of employment & labor law as well as payroll tax regulations at local, state, and federal levels
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks or similar financial tools; experience with spreadsheets (Excel) is essential
• Knowledge of corporate accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and time & attendance tracking tools for seamless data management
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
• Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for accurate payroll processing and account reconciliation
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $59,218.00 - $71,323.00 per year
