What they need

If you want to make a difference by having a positive impact on peoples’ lives, then a career with Independence Australia Group may be for you.

About us

Independence Australia Group is a social enterprise that provides choice for people with a disability or other personal need, enabling them to regain and retain their independence within an inclusive community.

About the role

Reporting to the National Payroll Manager, you'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, helping drive best-practice payroll processes and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services. You'll play an important role in enhancing the employee experience across a large and diverse workforce.

You'll be joining a supportive and close-knit team that works hard, celebrates success, and supports one another to achieve great outcomes. If you're reliable, committed, and thrive in a collaborative environment, you'll fit right in.

About you

You're an experienced payroll professional who takes pride in delivering accurate work, building strong relationships, and providing exceptional customer service. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are committed to getting the details right, and can always be counted on to follow through.

Most importantly, you're a team player with a positive attitude who enjoys working collaboratively with others. You'll thrive in an environment where people support one another, share knowledge, and work together to deliver great results.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Experience and ability to independently deliver end-to-end payroll services in a medium to large organisation ideally within the disability or community services sector including processing payroll, in addition to month-end and year-end payroll processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience using payroll, time and attendance, and workforce management systems.
  • Experience working with modern awards, enterprise agreements and common law.
  • Relevant qualifications in Payroll, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Why work with us

As a valued member of our team, you'll have access to a range of benefits designed to support your success and wellbeing, including:

  • Competitive remuneration package, including a base salary, superannuation, and salary packaging options.
  • Salary packaging benefits - increased take-home pay: you can receive up to $15,990 of your salary tax-free each year and retain more of your hard-earned income.
  • Service recognition rewards, with payments that grow as your length of service increases.
  • Employee referral program, offering rewards for successful talent referrals.
  • Exclusive employee discounts on more than 13,000 healthcare and wellbeing products.
  • Employee fleet discounts on selected new vehicle purchases.
  • Hybrid working arrangements available following the initial onboarding and training period.
  • Convenient location, with free on-site parking and easy access to public transport.
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities to support your career growth and progression.
