At City Facilities Management Australia, payroll is more than processing pay — it’s about accuracy, trust and supporting our people every week. Since 2009, we’ve built strong partnerships through a self-delivery model focused on safety, quality and value. The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Team Lead who is ready to take ownership, step into a more influential role, and grow towards future leadership. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys high-volume payroll, solving complex queries, improving processes and partnering closely with HR and Finance. You’ll be joining a supportive team where accuracy matters, ideas are welcomed, and your development will be taken seriously.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Process accurate weekly and monthly payrolls within agreed timeframes
- Maintain payroll and HRIS data, including new starters and terminations
- Resolve payroll queries quickly and escalate where required
- Prepare payroll-related reporting including tax, superannuation and statutory payments
- Lead and support payroll process improvements, system updates and procedure reviews
What We’re Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in quality, business, risk, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years’ payroll processing experience, ideally in high-volume environments
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, statutory requirements and deadlines
- Experience with payroll systems, rostering and award interpretation tools
- Intermediate Excel skills and confidence working with payroll data
- A proactive, detail-focused team player ready to grow into future leadership
What’s in it for you
- Hybrid Model: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH for work-life balance
- Modern Workspace: Bright, comfortable office built for collaboration
- Free Parking: Easy commute and save on transport and parking costs
- Wellness perks – Flu shots, EAP, health insurance discounts, purchased leave
- Family support – Paid parental leave, caregiver leave, domestic violence leave
- Recognition & rewards – Service awards, values awards, discounts on big brands
If you’re ready to own your impact, sharpen your payroll expertise and take the next step towards leadership — we’d love to hear from you.
