Payroll Team Leader

A well-established accounting and advisory firm based in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their CFO Solutions division. THE ROLE:
Leading a team spanning onshore and offshore payroll professionals, you will oversee the delivery of accurate, compliant payroll services for a range of Australian clients.

• Leading, mentoring and developing a payroll team, including onboarding and performance management
• Overseeing day-to-day payroll workflows, capacity and forward planning across multiple pay cycles
• Reviewing payroll reconciliations, statutory reporting and legislative submissions
• Acting as the key escalation point for complex payroll and system issues
• Leading payroll system implementations, migrations and process improvement initiatives
• Building and maintaining trusted client relationships

THE INDIVIDUAL:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Payroll Specialist or Senior Payroll Officer
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team (Advantageous)
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and employment obligations
• Working knowledge of Fair Work requirements, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
• Experience with payroll platforms such as Xero Payroll, Employment Hero, KeyPay or MYOB
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
