Position Summary:

The PC Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and calibrating printed circuit (PC) boards and electronic components to ensure they meet original equipment specifications. This role uses electronic schematics, technical test procedures, and specialized test equipment to diagnose malfunctions, replace defective components, and restore functionality. The technician maintains accurate repair and calibration records while collaborating with other technicians, supervisors, and test department personnel to ensure quality and reliability.

Job Duties:

• Install, repair, and maintain Windows-based PCs and related systems.

• Perform software and hardware installations, upgrades, and backups.

• Change tapes for network data backups.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures and network issues related to PCs.

• Assist Network Administrators in troubleshooting networks when needed.

• Handle telephone extension changes and other IT-related duties as assigned.

• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and resolution.

• Manage and maintain computer systems, including installation and configuration of software and updates.

• Assist users with Microsoft Office applications and desktop support inquiries.

What you need to be successful:

• Associates Degree in Computer Technology or Computer Science

• Ability to diagnose and fix hardware, software, and network issues.

• Clear communication to help users and resolve technical problems efficiently.

• Installing updates, configuring operating systems, and replacing hardware parts.

• Documenting technical issues, tracking repairs, and organizing inventory.
