Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including teaching hospitals and medical offices. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about patient care and have experience in senior care, pediatrics, or working with individuals with disabilities.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Provide support for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
• Help in the mobility of patients by assisting with transfers and ambulation
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient conditions and needs
• Assist in the management of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as required
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and health management strategies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, particularly in senior care or pediatrics
• Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is beneficial
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Ability to perform basic nursing tasks under supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and families
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant is required
