PCB Design Layout Engineer

Role Description The PCB Design Layout Engineer will be responsible for designing and optimizing printed circuit board layouts for a variety of electronic products. Day-to-day tasks include translating schematics into PCB layouts, placing components, routing high-speed and analog signals, and ensuring designs meet electrical, mechanical, manufacturability, and reliability requirements. The role involves close collaboration with electrical engineers and cross-functional teams to review designs, perform design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test checks, and support prototype builds and design revisions. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in California, United States, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

PCB design support to assist the hardware engineering team with PCB layout, component library management, and design documentation.

Ideal candidate should be aware of PCB layout (schematic-to-layout, high-speed signal r outing,

mixed-signal, power planes and PDN, DFM/DFA/DFT ), component definition and Altium library

management, design reviews, generation of fabrication packages, and pre/post-layout

simulation support.

Recent experience with Altium and with high-speed design is highly preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
