Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented PCB Design Engineer to support the design, development, layout, and testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of electronics, circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and design verification.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB layouts based on circuit schematics and design requirements.
• Create schematics, component footprints, and PCB libraries.
• Perform component placement, routing, and layer-stack planning.
• Follow PCB design guidelines for signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Generate Gerber files, drill files, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate with hardware, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Review PCB designs for manufacturability, assembly, and reliability.
• Support prototype testing, debugging, and design modifications.
• Troubleshoot PCB-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain design documentation and revision control.

Required Technical Skills

• Fundamentals of electronics and electrical circuits.
• Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout design.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with PCB routing, component placement, and multilayer PCB design.
• Knowledge of electronic components, datasheets, and component footprints.
• Understanding of design rules and Design Rule Checks (DRC).
• Basic knowledge of Gerber generation, BOM preparation, and PCB fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with soldering, testing, and debugging electronic circuits.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PCB design tools such as:

• Altium Designer

• KiCad

• Cadence Allegro

• OrCAD

• Autodesk Eagle

• Basic understanding of EMI/EMC, signal integrity, and power integrity.

• Knowledge of high-speed PCB design, impedance control, and differential pair routing is an advantage.

• Familiarity with hardware testing instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.

• Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller-based circuit design is a plus.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• Freshers: Basic electronics knowledge and academic PCB design projects are preferred.
• Experienced Candidates: 13 years of hands-on experience in schematic design, PCB layout, routing, and design documentation.
