PCBA Process Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead and optimize manufacturing processes across the entire PCBA production flow, from SMT through final assembly. The successful candidate will drive process improvements, yield enhancement, cost reduction initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements while supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review product manufacturability from prototype to pilot production and support NPI activities.
• Lead process optimization initiatives to improve yield, productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure process control and compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical support for machine setup, programming, optimization, and process validation.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, process documentation, and engineering records.
• Supervise and provide guidance to technicians in daily operations.
• Drive continuous improvement projects related to quality, cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and material utilization.
• Support and oversee the entire PCBA manufacturing process, from SMT, soldering, inspection, testing, and final assembly through product completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes, with exposure to the complete production flow from SMT to final assembly.
• Strong understanding of SMT equipment, process control, machine programming, and manufacturing optimization.
• Hands-on experience in NPI, yield improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Experience with electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, and final product assembly operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic programming knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in EMS, electronics, or PCBA manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with AOI, SPI, ICT, Functional Testing, Reflow, Wave Soldering, and Assembly processes.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
