PCR Technician

Full-Time PCR Technician

SHIFT: 11 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday

The Molecular Biology / Immunology Technician posting is for the following shift:

The role comprises the following:

· DNA/RNA Extraction and Additional Downstream qPCR Processing

· ELISA Sample Preparation and Liquid Handler Monitoring and Maintenance

· Slide staining and Microscopy

· Data Entry and Analysis

· Ad Hoc Support as Needed by Senior Laboratory Personnel

Qualifications:

The candidates must have the following:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• The ability to work flexible hours as needed- seasonal testing demand may include overtime and occasional weekend work
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A courteous and professional demeanor in both the laboratory and when conversing with clients (email and phone)

It is preferable that the candidates have the following:

· Experience in a clinical setting

A background screen will be performed and at least one reference will be required

Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience level

Job Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (4-year degree) in relevant field of study OR an Associate’s Degree (two year degree) with BOTH relevant field of study and relevant experience (1-2 years)

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
