PCT Scenario Test Engineer

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute scenario-based performance, power consumption, and temperature rise test strategies.
• Collect and analyse test data to identify frame drops, stuttering, abnormal power consumption, overheating, thermal throttling, and performance bottlenecks.
• Benchmark competitor devices and provide comparison reports with actionable insights.
• Submit, track, and verify defects while collaborating with R&D, hardware, and structural teams to drive issue resolution.
• Maintain and optimise testing environments, including automation development.
• Set up and manage test equipment such as power analysers, infrared thermal imagers, robotic arms, and mobile test benches.
• Track industry trends in chipsets (Qualcomm, MediaTek, Unisoc), Android/iOS platforms, and thermal management technologies.

🔹 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience in smartphone or smart device performance, power consumption, and thermal testing.
• Hands-on experience participating in at least one smartphone development project.
• Experience testing flagship, gaming, or 5G smartphones is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Android system architecture, CPU/GPU scheduling, memory management, rendering pipeline, power management, and thermal control.
• Knowledge of smartphone hardware architecture, heat dissipation, and thermal design principles.
• Familiarity with industry-standard testing tools such as Perfetto, Systrace, GFXBench, Unity Profiler, ADB, Power Monitor, infrared thermal imagers , and related analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
