PD Director

• Lead and manage China PD team to execute the company’s product roadmap.
• Work with global leadership team to define and refine the product vision, strategy, and objectives.
• Champion a customer-centric approach to product development, ensuring the products align with user needs and market trends.
• Provide direction, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for the product development team. NPI process development & yield, scrap management
• Lead the execution of new products, customization of existing products, and creation of customer driven products.
• Enhance PD processes that drive product development outputs and identify improvements where and when required.
• Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure sourcing vendors and production facility meet quality standards and launch deadlines. Partnership with Supply Chain Team to develop best solution for new products.
• Act as technical resource and industry leading expert in brush design and manufacturing to NPI team.
• Reduce the yield lost, scrap rate, & rework rate.
• Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) technique to analyze the production process.
• Act as a key person of ‘Shorten Product Lead Time’ project. Product Lifecycle Management
• Oversee the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and on-budget execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PM, drawing, and sales to ensure alignment on product goals and timelines.
• Define clear product requirements and specifications, ensuring the team adheres to these throughout development. Manage the prioritization and allocation of resources for product initiatives based on company goals and available resources. Innovation and Market Insight
• Establish KPIs to track the success and effectiveness of new products in the market.
• Use data and customer feedback to continuously improve products, iterating on designs and features post-launch. Maintain a strong focus on product quality and user experience throughout the product lifecycle. Collaboration and Communication
• Communicate product vision, strategies, and results effectively to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership and global PD team.
• Build strong relationships with external partners, such as vendors, manufacturers, or third-party developers, to support product development.
• Ensure all product documentation is clear, up-to-date, and accessible to all relevant teams. Work Experience and Skills Requirements
• 15+ years of PD experience in cosmetic manufacturing environment with last 5 years’ experience at a Senior Management level in a multinational corporation.
• Rich hands-on experience in mechanical parts Design, familiar with design tools application, as parts design in electronic industry, vehicle industry or beauty industry.
• Strong knowledge or techniques of material, decoration, molding, stamping and packaging, etc.
• Strong knowledge of the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.
• Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to translate customer and market insights into actionable product strategies.
