PDM System Administrator – CAD Integration

Purpose: The role is responsible for the PLM system library setup of standardizing internal and external ways of working on Mechanical, Electronics design and development within the scope of NGP Discovery, NGP Product Development, NGP suppliers, other R&D functions, and Operations. This role is required for coordinating internal and external stakeholders in alignment with the peers and managers for product development. The role holder will also be a subject matter expert within the PLM system (Teamcenter is best) development, to understand the mechanical or electronic engineering discipline and should be a proficient user of different CAD tools, e.g. Altium Designer, NX Designer, etc. The role will be responsible for taking suppliers' CAD data, in a neutral format, and saving it into Teamcenter using CAD Tool, following the pre-defined BAT upload process, and CAD SOPs. And build the company library for managing the standards parts for common use. Support PLM system BAU maintenance and upgrade, troubleshooting for users and collaborate with external IT team to achieve business needs. Dimensions:

• Weekly product uploads from suppliers.
• Quarterly CI support for PLM system development.
• Daily support for users of PLM system issues. Principal Accountabilities Operational
• Creating and maintaining BAT Global libraries.
• CAD Design – Conversion of non-BAT CAD data and saving into Teamcenter using BAT CAD.
• Conduct CAD Tool training to BAT R&D team and supplier to streamline the way of work in the system.
• Working for the BAT PDM Manager in Shenzhen to prioritize supplier CAD uploads and minimize the time to get the data shared to BAT colleagues.
• Work with the UK PDM Team to ensure CAD best practices are followed and standards maintained.
• Work with the external parties in the development of system and provide technical support in problem-solving.
• Support PLM system BAU maintenance and upgrade.
• Escalate risks and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.

Leadership

• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with a pool of third-party external suppliers and internal functions

• BS degree or above in Mechanical/Engineering/Computer discipline or closely related subject.
• 5+ years of experience in PLM system development (Teamcenter is the best), with hands-on knowledge and extensive experience of CAD Tool Integration (NX is the best).
• 3+ years of experience in librarian creation and maintenance is a plus.
• Experience of BOM integration in PLM system is a plus.
• Be familiar with the MCAD/ECAD drawing of consumer electronic products.
• Basic of consumer electrics manufacturing process, consumer electronic products is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of international safety standards/certification for consumer electronics products.
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills. Ideally, but not essential fluent in English.
• Has good attention to detail.
• Able to solve problems proactively.
