PE Fund Controller & Implementation Manager – AI-driven Fund Platform, Paris

Are you an experienced Private Equity professional looking to combine deep fund expertise with technology, product innovation and AI?

Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company building a best-in-class, all-in-one technology platform for Private Equity funds. Positioned at the forefront of PE fund operations and investor management, the business is experiencing rapid expansion and is shaping how leading fund managers use technology and AI in their day-to-day operations.

This is a unique opportunity for a Fund Controller or PE operations professional to move beyond traditional fund administration and become a key bridge between clients, product teams and developers. You will work on concrete AI-driven use cases, help shape the platform roadmap and develop valuable technical and consulting skills in a dynamic scale-up environment.

Please note that this is a full-time, on-site position based in Paris. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the Paris office five days per week. This is not a remote or hybrid role. Candidates must be based in the area of Paris or willing to relocate.

Your responsibilities

• Financial control and modelling: Model, validate and challenge fund waterfalls, NAV calculations, commitment transfers, recycling mechanisms and asset and liability reconciliations.
• Client consulting: Meet regularly with General Partners and other stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate complex business needs into functional specifications and define project milestones.
• Implementation and project delivery: Prioritise tasks, coordinate deliverables and monitor progress to ensure accurate, efficient and high-quality platform implementations.
• Product development: Contribute to the product roadmap by identifying opportunities to improve the platform, streamline workflows and enhance the client experience.
• AI innovation: Help design and lead innovative AI initiatives for Private Equity, including reporting automation, investor services, data extraction and financial simulation tools.
• Client relationship management: Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring tailored solutions for complex fund structures and evolving operational needs.

Your profile

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Private Equity fund controlling, fund administration, middle- or back-office operations, Big Four fund audit, or implementation of Private Equity fund administration software.
• Strong understanding of Private Equity fund mechanics, including waterfalls, NAV calculations, commitment transfers, recycling and asset and liability reconciliations.
• Excellent Excel skills, with a strong ability to build, analyse and validate financial models.
• Fluent French is mandatory; fluent English is a strong asset.
• Genuine interest in technology, AI and automation, with the curiosity to explore how these can transform Private Equity operations.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients, gathering requirements and translating complex financial needs into practical solutions.
• Experience in Private Equity Wealth is an asset, particularly investor KYC onboarding, relationships with wealth advisers or complex retrocession calculations.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership and appetite to work in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
