PE / Swimming Teacher

Jakarta Multicultural School (JMS) is looking for a passionate, energetic, and responsible PE / Swimming Teacher to join our school community.

Job Description

• Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education and swimming lessons for students.
• Teach swimming skills, techniques, and water safety according to students’ abilities.
• Create fun, active, and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Ensure students’ safety and well-being during PE and swimming lessons.
• Monitor and assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage students to develop physical skills, confidence, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Prepare lesson plans, activities, and learning materials.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment.
• Support school sports events, competitions, extracurricular activities, and other school programs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support students’ overall development.
• Perform other duties related to PE and swimming programs as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Swimming, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching PE and/or swimming, preferably in a school environment.
• Strong swimming skills and good knowledge of water safety.
• Experience working with children and students.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Energetic, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural school environment.
• Swimming instructor, lifeguard, or other relevant certification is an advantage.
