PEB DESIGN ENGINEER

About the Role

SCON Engineering Services is looking for a PEB Design Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience in Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) / Structural Steel Design. The candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, optimisation, and preparation/review of design deliverables for PEB and structural steel projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and design of PEB / steel structures.
• Prepare and review structural models using STAAD.Pro.
• Design primary and secondary structural members, including columns, rafters, beams, purlins, girts, bracings, mezzanine structures, etc.
• Perform load calculations including dead load, live load, wind load, seismic load and other applicable loads.
• Design and check connections, base plates, anchor bolts and other structural components.
• Prepare design calculations, design reports and structural drawings as required.
• Coordinate with the detailing team to ensure that the design intent is correctly incorporated into Tekla/AutoCAD models and fabrication drawings.
• Review GA, anchor bolt, framing and other structural drawings for design compliance.
• Optimize structural sections and member sizes while maintaining safety, serviceability and project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams for design-related queries and revisions.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable IS / MBMA / AISC / relevant international standards, depending on project requirements.
• Assist in resolving technical issues during detailing, fabrication and erection stages.
• Maintain proper records of design calculations, revisions and project documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in PEB / structural steel design.
• Good working knowledge of STAAD.Pro.
• Understanding of PEB structural systems and load calculations.
• Knowledge of AISC, MBMA, IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893 and relevant structural design codes & standards.
• Basic understanding of steel connections, anchor bolts and foundation reactions.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Good coordination skills with design, detailing and project teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

Candidates who have worked on industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, commercial buildings, mezzanine structures and other PEB/structural steel projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
