PEB DESIGN ENGINEER – STRUCTURAL DESIGN

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PEB Design Engineer to independently handle structural design, analysis, detailing and engineering drawings for Pre-Engineered Buildings including industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, commercial buildings and steel sheds.

Key Responsibilities

• Study architectural drawings, client requirements and project specifications.
• Understand building dimensions, bay spacing, column locations, roof slope, height, loading requirements and structural requirements.
• Design PEB primary and secondary structural members including columns, rafters, bracing, purlins, girts, eave struts, canopies and related steel structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design considering dead, live, wind, seismic, collateral and project-specific loads, including crane loads where applicable.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, GA drawings, fabrication/detailing drawings, connection details and anchor bolt plans.
• Provide foundation load information to the civil/foundation team.
• Check member sizes and structural adequacy and optimize steel weight without compromising safety.
• Coordinate with fabrication, procurement, erection and project execution teams.
• Review shop/fabrication drawings and resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Revise drawings based on client, consultant or site requirements.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, calculations and project documentation.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and erection whenever required.

Required Software Skills

• STAAD.Pro – Strong working knowledge
• AutoCAD – Strong working knowledge
• Tekla Structures / Tekla Steel Detailing – Preferred
• MBS / PEB design software – Preferred
• MS Excel – Working knowledge

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
• 3–7 years of hands-on PEB / structural steel design experience.
• Strong understanding of steel structures, PEB systems, fabrication and erection.
• Ability to independently take a project from design inputs through final engineering drawings.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates currently based in Dindigul or nearby areas preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good coordination with fabrication and site teams.
• Practical understanding of PEB manufacturing and erection.
• Ability to work to project deadlines.

Salary: As per company standards / based on experience.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
