About the Role

Happy Friendly Smiles is seeking a motivated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for every child while supporting our doctors and clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Chairside Assist the doctor during pediatric dental restorative procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms before, during, and after patient appointments.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments in accordance with OSHA and infection control guidelines.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as permitted by Florida regulations.
• Help children feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit.
• Prophys and Flouride application
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
• Accurately chart procedures and maintain electronic patient records.
• Work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Follow all office policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience required; pediatric experience preferred.
• Current Florida Dental Radiography Certification required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, positive, and patient-focused attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, professional, and eager to learn.
