Duties

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for children with diverse communication needs
• Develop individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges
• Implement evidence-based therapy interventions to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, social communication, and fluency
• Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care strategies
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and clinical notes accurately
• Provide telehealth therapy sessions to expand access and deliver flexible treatment options for pediatric patients
• Educate families on speech-language development milestones and strategies to support ongoing progress at home

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children in pediatric speech-language pathology or early intervention settings
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders
• Proven ability to perform comprehensive speech and language assessments and interpret results effectively
• Skilled in designing and implementing targeted speech therapy plans for individuals with speech impairments or disabilities
• Excellent collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and healthcare providers
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy sessions effectively
• Ability to work with diverse populations, including those with developmental delays or neurological conditions such as autism spectrum disorder or apraxia of speech
• Knowledge of school-based practices and experience working within educational environments is a plus
• Passion for patient care with a focus on improving communication outcomes for pediatric patients of all ages
