Love pediatric speech therapy, but want more stability and support?

What You'll Do
As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll provide relationship-based, family-centered services to infants and toddlers with communication delays, developmental disabilities, feeding needs, and other complex developmental needs.
Your work may include:
- Completing speech, language, communication, feeding, and developmental evaluations within your scope of practice
- Developing individualized, functional goals based on the child's needs and family's priorities
- Providing speech and language intervention within the child's natural routines and environments
- Supporting receptive and expressive language, early communication, social communication, play, interaction, and functional communication
- Supporting feeding and oral motor development when appropriate to your training and scope of practice
- Identifying and supporting alternative or augmentative forms of communication when appropriate
- Using play and everyday activities to make intervention meaningful and developmentally appropriate
- Coaching parents and caregivers on practical communication and feeding strategies they can incorporate into everyday routines
- Monitoring progress and adjusting intervention strategies based on the child's response and family priorities
- Collaborating with OTs, PTs, child development specialists, service coordinators, physicians, and other members of the child's Early Intervention team
- Completing clear and timely clinical documentation
- Participating in clinical consultation, supervision, team meetings, and professional development
You Won't Be Doing This Alone
Early Intervention gives therapists independence, but that shouldn't mean practicing without support.
You'll be part of an interdisciplinary pediatric team with opportunities to consult and collaborate with experienced clinicians across speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding, and child development.
We want you to have people you can turn to when you're working through a challenging case, learning a new assessment, developing your clinical reasoning, or simply want another clinical perspective.
You'll also have access to continuing education and professional development opportunities to strengthen your pediatric skills and explore areas of clinical interest.
What We're Looking For
- Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related accredited program

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to provide family-centered services and work collaboratively within interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary models of Early Intervention
- Ability to work independently in home and community settings while remaining connected to a clinical team
- Willingness to learn, collaborate, and continue developing professionally
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Pediatric or Early Intervention experience is preferred
