Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in children and adolescents
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with best practices and patient goals
• Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques suitable for pediatric populations
• Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient progress and ensure consistency across environments
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation, progress notes, and treatment updates
• Provide telehealth therapy sessions when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care through virtual platforms
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication development at home and in daily activities

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in school or clinical settings with a focus on pediatrics
• Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for early intervention and developmental delays
• Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities across various age groups, including geriatric patients when applicable
• Excellent patient care skills combined with the ability to assess communication needs accurately using physiology and anatomy knowledge
• Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and patient assessment procedures
• Experience with telehealth therapy platforms and remote service delivery models
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt interventions based on individual patient needs
