Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY) – Mentorship & Leadership Opportunities

Full-Time or Part-Time | San Jose, CA

Join one of the Bay Area's larger pediatric therapy teams. We offer strong mentorship for Clinical Fellows and new graduates, leadership opportunities for experienced clinicians, and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment where you're never practicing alone. Our neurodiversity-affirming, play-based approach helps children build meaningful communication skills while giving therapists the support, resources, and professional growth opportunities they deserve.

Compensation: $50-$65+ per hour equivalent ($90,000-$115,000+ annual base compensation for full-time therapists), plus bonus opportunities.

Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.

Whether you're a Clinical Fellow seeking mentorship, an experienced clinician looking for leadership opportunities, or a therapist searching for a long-term professional home, we'd love to meet you.

Who We Are

At Joy & Laughter Developmental Therapy, our mission is simple:

~Making childhood fun for everyone.

Since 2012, we have provided Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Feeding Therapy services to children with autism, developmental delays, communication challenges, feeding difficulties, and other developmental needs throughout the Bay Area.

We are proud to be one of the region's larger pediatric therapy teams and have been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list multiple times as one of America's fastest-growing private companies.

Our team is committed to helping children build meaningful skills while creating a workplace where therapists can learn, grow, collaborate, and enjoy the work they do every day.

Why Choose JLD?

You're Not Practicing Alone

Many therapists find themselves working in isolation. At JLD, you'll work alongside Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Feeding Specialists, Clinical Managers, and support staff who genuinely enjoy collaborating and supporting one another.

We believe better teamwork leads to better outcomes for both therapists and families.

Neurodiversity-Affirming, Play-Based Care

At JLD Therapy, we believe children learn best through meaningful relationships, play, and engagement.

Our therapists use strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches that focus on helping children build skills, confidence, independence, and participation in everyday life.

We value collaboration with families and believe every child deserves support that respects their individual strengths, needs, and developmental journey.

Flexible Scheduling

We understand that great therapists value flexibility.

Scheduling options may include:

  • Traditional Monday-Friday schedules
  • Four-day work weeks
  • Mixed full and partial-day schedules
  • Saturday opportunities for additional income

Build Your Career Here

Whether you're a Clinical Fellow looking for mentorship, a clinician developing specialty expertise, or an experienced therapist seeking leadership opportunities, we believe great therapists deserve a place where they can continue to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact.

Many of our therapists join JLD after working in schools, home health, hospitals, or smaller clinics because they are looking for greater collaboration, growth opportunities, and the support of a larger multidisciplinary team.

At JLD, we invest in our team through mentorship, continuing education, leadership development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities to take on new challenges as your career evolves.
