Robinson Speech and Pediatric Therapy Inc.

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time, W-2

Pay: $55–$75 per hour for therapy and administrative time, plus paid drive time and mileage reimbursement

About the Position

Robinson Speech and Pediatric Therapy is a growing, therapist-owned pediatric practice providing speech-language therapy and early intervention services to children and families in their everyday environments.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys working with children and families, values collaboration, and wants to be part of a small, intentional practice.

Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based, with an emphasis on building meaningful relationships, supporting communication in everyday routines, and partnering with caregivers. We value individualized care over productivity quotas and believe clinicians should have the time and support needed to provide thoughtful, high-quality services.

Services are provided in children's homes, schools, daycares, and community settings. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with families, build a caseload gradually, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Position Details

  • Part-time: 20+ hours per week
  • Full-time: 30–40 hours per week
  • Compensation: $55–$75/hour for therapy and administrative work, depending on experience
  • Drive time: Paid at $20/hour
  • Mileage: Reimbursed separately at current IRS mileage rate
  • Employment: W-2
  • Service area: Conejo Valley and surrounding communities

We are open to building your schedule and caseload gradually as the practice grows.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric speech-language evaluations and individualized therapy services.
  • Develop treatment plans based on each child's strengths, communication needs, and family priorities.
  • Support functional communication across everyday activities and environments.
  • Provide caregiver coaching and education to support communication outside of therapy sessions.
  • Complete clinical documentation, evaluations, progress reports, and other required paperwork.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and other professionals involved in each child's care.
  • Participate in clinical consultation and team collaboration.
  • Travel between client locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Clinical experience with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based practice, or willingness to learn about it!
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Reliable transportation, auto insurance, and willingness to travel within the service area.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining engaged in ongoing collaboration and consultation.

Clinical Fellows may be considered depending on qualifications and supervision needs.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
  • Paid documentation and report-writing time.
  • Paid care coordination and collaboration time.
  • Paid drive time and mileage reimbursement.
  • Health reimbursement stipend.
  • Dental insurance and life insurance (for full time employees).
  • 401(k).
  • Paid sick time and vacation.
  • Continuing education and professional development reimbursement stipend.
  • Therapy materials reimbursement stipend.
  • No productivity quotas.

About Your Clinical Director

I'm Jenn Robinson, M.S., CCC-SLP, the owner and Clinical Director of Robinson Speech and Pediatric Therapy.

I'm currently the only Speech-Language Pathologist in the practice, and I'm looking to bring on the first SLP to join me as we continue to grow! We currently have a Child Developmental Specialist on the team, and my long-term goal is to build a small, collaborative, multidisciplinary practice, beginning with hiring an SLP and then expanding to include an OT and a PT.

I'm a positive, approachable person who values creating a workplace where therapists feel supported, respected, and trusted to do good clinical work. I want clinicians to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and developing their own clinical skills while knowing they have support when they need it.

I have experience supervising Speech-Language Pathologists, Clinical Fellows, and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. Having had a supportive experience during my own Clinical Fellowship, I understand how important it is to feel encouraged and supported as you grow in your career.

I value open communication, collaboration, and professional growth. My goal is to create an environment where clinicians can build confidence and independence, feel genuinely valued as part of the team, and have the time they need to provide thoughtful care to their clients.

Why Join Our Practice?

We're a small, growing practice where relationships and the quality of care matter. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with me, contribute to the development of our team, and help shape the future of the practice as we grow.

We recognize that quality clinical work involves much more than direct therapy. Documentation, caregiver communication, report writing, care coordination, and collaboration are all important parts of the job, and we provide paid time for these responsibilities.

If you're looking for a position where you can work with children and families in their everyday environments, practice in a neurodiversity-affirming way, and be part of a supportive team that values quality over unrealistic productivity standards, we'd love to hear from you!
