Pediatrician

Job Summary

Northern Inyo Healthcare District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to provide comprehensive pediatric care to outpatients, newborns, and inpatients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services, attending deliveries, and offering expert consultation as needed.

Schedule

• Full time is 3 days a week in clinic plus call. The schedule is flexible.
• 1:4 shared call rotation (low census light call)

Duties

• Provide outpatient pediatric care, managing an average of 16–18 patients per day in the clinic setting.
• Attend to newborns with an average daily census of 0–3 patients and manage inpatient pediatric cases with an average daily census of 0–1 patient.
• Participate in deliveries and provide immediate neonatal consultation when needed.
• Offer consultation services for complex pediatric cases as requested by hospital staff.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including medical assistants and registered nurses, in a well-equipped clinical environment with 2–3 exam rooms per physician.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Stay current with pediatric medical guidelines and participate in continuous professional development.

• Estimated 1099 compensation starting at $365,000 with opportunities for additional earnings based on schedule and productivity.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited residency training in pediatrics or med/peds with valid California license
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Certification in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Proven experience or training in pediatric outpatient, inpatient, and neonatal care preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on family-centered practices.

Pay: From $365,000.00 per year
