Peer Support Specialist

THIS POSITION IS FOR EVERY SATURDAY 10 AM - 3 PM & OTHER HOURS AS NEEDED!

Responsibilities:

• MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with members of the community and organizations in the community.
• Must be able to transport members to and from the center, when necessary.
• Answer phone calls from members asking for a ride to the center.
• De-escalate situations as necessary.
• Plan center involvement in events such as county fair.
• Host discussion groups with members regarding positive mental health.
• Perform general center maintenance duties.
• Attend monthly staff meetings
• Effectively communicate with Supervisor, other staff, and members who attend the center.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Boone, IA 50036 (Required)
