Summary Provides peer support for behavioral health or substance abuse programs. Provides a variety of services to healthcare professionals and clients and assists in the attainment of short-term and long-term goals. Increases the utilization of community services and mentors individuals with behavioral health or substance abuse issues. Collaborates with internal staff and develops customized solutions.

• This position will require successful completion of a Level II Background Screening
• This is a Grant Funded position

Education Essential:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience Essential:

• One Year or related experience. Must have a minimum of 2 years stability managing personal recovery.

Credentials Essential:

• Certified Recovery Peer Specialist certification or able to obtain within 1 year of hire
• Valid Florida Driver's License
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
