For over 40 years, Odyssey House Christchurch has had a mission to improve the wellbeing of individuals, family and community affected by drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and related issues

We are looking for a Peer Support team member to work with people seeking recovery including those in Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST).

In this role you will be:

• Involved in the entry point to the addiction sector and working alongside clients on their recovery journey.
• Providing information around treatment and recovery options
• Facilitating groups that occur for clients, family and whanau support.

We are looking for a person with

• Lived experience of recovery from an opiate drug addiction.  This can include people who are in OST Shared Care (Connected to CORS (Christchurch Opioid Recovery Service) but managed by GP).
• Evidence of working stability to manage a busy workload
• Good communication skills
• Administration and computer skills
• A Level 4 qualification in health/addiction or willingness to work towards one.
• Ability to work 20 hours per week Mon - Fri, with a rostered evening group requirement.
• Full Drivers License
