About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Pega Developer to join a long-term project in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Pega Platform, Constellation UI, DX API and ReactJS , along with expertise in Pega Case Management, modern UI development and enterprise integrations.

You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable Pega applications, building modern user interfaces and integrating Pega Case Management solutions with external systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Pega Development & Case Management

• Design and develop applications using Pega Platform (Infinity '24) , focusing on Constellation UI architecture.
• Build end-to-end Pega Case Management solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Develop and configure Pega flows, data pages, activities, decision rules and integrations.
• Implement low-code solutions using Pega Case Management.
• Ensure compliance with Pega Guardrails and development best practices.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.

UI Development & Integration

• Design and develop modern user interfaces using Pega Constellation and DX API .
• Build custom UI components using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 .
• Develop reusable front-end components and integrate them with Pega workflows.
• Extend Pega's standard capabilities through custom React applications.
• Integrate bespoke and headless front ends with Pega Case Management using DX APIs.
• Develop and integrate REST/SOAP APIs and external services.
• Ensure responsive, accessible and user-friendly applications.

Architecture & Collaboration

• Work with microservices, API-first architectures and synchronous/asynchronous integration patterns.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, UX designers, business stakeholders and QA teams.
• Support UX discovery workshops, user journey mapping and design improvements.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and ensure application scalability, security and performance.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of overall IT experience , including a minimum of 5 years of Pega implementation experience .
• 3+ years of experience with Pega Constellation and DX API .
• 4+ years of ReactJS front-end development experience .
• Strong hands-on experience with Pega PRPC, Pega Case Management and Pega Infinity '24 .
• Proficiency in ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 .
• Experience developing custom UI components and integrating them with Pega using DX APIs.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, microservices and API-first integration patterns.
• Experience with synchronous/asynchronous integrations and event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, API security, authentication, logging and error handling.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Dutch speaking and writing proficiency is required.

Additional Skills

The following would be advantageous:

• Experience with Azure Cloud and container-based services.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles, accessibility standards and responsive design.
• Experience developing headless front-end applications.
• Experience with geospatial applications, map servers or OpenLayers.
• Experience with Pega application architecture and reusable component design.
• Experience providing technical guidance to development teams.

Preferred Certifications

Pega certifications would be advantageous, particularly:

• Pega Certified System Architect (CSA)
• Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
• Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA)
