Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Pellet Mill Operator to join our wood plastic composite manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring our pellet mill equipment to efficiently produce high-quality wood plastic composite pellets.

Key Responsibilities

● Monitor and operate computer terminals and associated equipment to control the pelletizing process of wood plastic composites

● Ensure proper mixing and blending of wood fibers, plastic resins, and additives according to specified formulas

● Operate and maintain pellet mills, extruders, and other related equipment

● Monitor product quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistency

● Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment

● Troubleshoot and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team

● Maintain accurate production records and logs

● Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

● Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors

Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in plastics or wood products industry

● Experience with pellet mill operations is highly desirable

● Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math skills

● Basic computer skills for operating control systems and maintaining electronic records

● Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Physical Requirements

● Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

● Capable of standing for extended periods and moving around the facility

● Ability to bend, stoop, and climb as needed

● Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to wood dust, plastic materials, and moderate noise levels

Work Environment

● Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures

● May involve shift work, including nights and weekends
