About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised PENGURUS KANTIN (Canteen Manager) to join our team in Putrajaya on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our food services operations, responsible for the overall management and smooth operation of our canteen facilities. As Canteen Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining operational excellence and building strong relationships with our clients and team members. This role is essential to our business success and directly impacts the experience of everyone who uses our canteen services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the canteen, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness standards
• Manage inventory, stock levels and supplier relationships to ensure consistent availability of quality food and beverages
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers and staff members
• Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health regulations
• Manage the canteen budget and control operational costs whilst maintaining profitability
• Supervise and train canteen staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high operational standards
• Plan and coordinate menus, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, implementing improvements where necessary
• Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses and operational activities
• Ensure the canteen facility is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in canteen or food service management, or equivalent experience in hospitality or retail management
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations and best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
• Proven ability to manage teams and motivate staff to achieve operational goals
• Sound financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control
• Organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service excellence and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction
• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications
• Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including peak service times
• Relevant qualification in food service management, hospitality or related field is preferred but not essential if you have substantial relevant experience
