What they need
Founded in 2008, Holland Cooper is a luxury British lifestyle brand renowned for its timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship, and distinctive blend of heritage and modern sophistication. With a strong focus on tailoring, premium fabrics, and elevated styling, the brand has built a loyal global following and a powerful visual identity. At Holland Cooper, creativity, attention to detail, and commercial awareness sit at the heart of everything we do. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and as we continue to grow, we're investing in the team that supports them.
We are looking for a People Advisor to join our People team, reporting into the Senior People Partner. This is not a corporate HR role, this is hands-on, fast-moving and sits right at the heart of a founder-led business that is growing quickly and evolving constantly. You will play a key supporting role in building a people function that genuinely works, contributing to change management, improving processes and helping to lay the foundations for the next chapter of our growth. If you are energised by variety and want to make a genuine impact rather than sit within a rigid structure, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a first point of contact for day-to-day people queries and escalating to the Senior People Partner where needed
- Support managers and the People team through employee relations processes including note-taking, drafting letters and coordinating meetings, ensuring everything is handled consistently and on time
- Coordinate recruitment activity across a range of roles - posting adverts, supporting with interviews, managing candidate communications and helping hiring managers manage their process throughout
- Own the onboarding administration process end to end, ensuring new joiners have everything they need before they start and feel welcomed from day one
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across our HR systems
- Support the coordination and delivery of people initiatives
- Help to draft and update HR documentation including contracts, offer letters, job descriptions and people policies
- Support change management activity by coordinating communications, updating trackers and helping to keep projects moving
- Keep organised and maintain the People team's admin, ensuring processes run smoothly behind the scenes
- Keep up to date with employment law basics and flag anything relevant to the Senior People Partner
Key Competencies/Behaviours:
- Warm and approachable, able to build relationships quickly with people at all levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, takes pride in keeping things accurate and on time
- A great communicator, both written and verbal
- Proactive and willing to use initiative, spotting what needs doing without always being asked
- Discreet and trustworthy, with a natural understanding of confidentiality
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
- Positive, can-do attitude and a genuine team player
Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience in an HR/People role
- Comfortable coordinating processes and managing multiple tasks at once
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence
- Organised and confident working with data, systems and spreadsheets
- Genuinely interested in people and passionate about making a workplace feel like a great place to be
Desired:
- Experience working in a luxury retail, fashion, hospitality or lifestyle brand.
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification (or equivalent experience).
Benefits:
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Your birthday off on us
- Increased benefits with length of service (e.g. holiday, pension contributions)
- Enhanced Maternity and Paternity pay
- Generous staff discount and staff shop available
- Fresh fruit and pastries delivered weekly
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme, including mental health support
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
