About the role

We are seeking a People & Culture Officer to join our People & Culture team in a full-time position at our factory in Klaten, Central Java. This is a strategic role that will be fundamental in shaping and maintaining our organizational culture whilst supporting the development and engagement of our workforce. As People & Culture Officer, you will work closely with senior management and employees across all levels to ensure our P&C initiatives align with our business goals and create a positive workplace environment. This role combines P&C operations with a genuine focus on building and sustaining a thriving company culture.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and programs that support company objectives and employee engagement
• Managing employee recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions and positive experiences
• Administering HR systems, records and compliance requirements, maintaining accurate employee files and documentation
• Organizing and coordinating employee engagement activities, training programs and cultural initiatives that foster team cohesion and motivation
• Supporting performance management processes, including setting objectives, conducting reviews and providing feedback to employees and managers
• Addressing employee relations matters, including grievances, conflicts and disciplinary procedures, ensuring fair and consistent handling
• Collaborating with department heads to identify training and development needs and implementing learning and development programs
• Promoting company culture and values through internal communications, team events and cultural activities
• Ensuring compliance with Indonesian labor laws and regulations, keeping up to date with any changes in employment legislation
• Maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive P&C matters

What we're looking for

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role, ideally within a manufacturing or fashion retail environment
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor laws, employment regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Demonstrated experience in employee engagement, culture building and internal communications
• Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all organizational levels
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Fluency in Indonesian and English (both written and verbal)
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing HR challenges
