About Reingold

Reingold is a full-service marketing and creative firm in Alexandria, VA. For more than 40 years, we’ve been driven by a simple mission: to help organizations –– whether in the government, nonprofit, or business sector –– as they strive to make the world a better place. We hire top-notch talent to develop and launch compelling, inventive communications campaigns, leveraging the latest technology and digital media strategies that enable our clients to meet their audiences where they are.

That’s where you come in. Reingold is seeking a paid intern to support the lifeblood of our organization: our People & Experience team. This internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a successful company functions and thrives, while giving you the opportunity to build practical, marketable skills in a collaborative professional environment.

Internships at Reingold are full-time (40 hours) during the standard workweek and pay an hourly rate of $20. The internship class begins on Thursday, January 7, 2027, and runs through Friday, May 28, 2027. Core hours during the internship are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. This internship requires five in-office days (Monday – Friday) at our office in Alexandria, Virginia.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the People & Experience team, including recruitment coordination, data entry, management of Human Resource Information System (HRIS), and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and special projects.

  • Assist with updating employee handbook policies and with researching industry best practices and compliance requirements.

  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and community events (e.g., learning sessions, social events, employee recognition).

  • Work with internal teams to build communications plans and to create and distribute firmwide communications.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure timely execution of employment processes such as onboarding and offboarding.

  • Contribute ideas and perspectives to elevate the effectiveness of the P&E team.

  • Perform tasks aligned with your skills and interests, contributing to evolving team needs.

A Reingold intern must:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree.

  • Have an interest in the holistic employee experience and employee engagement throughout the employment lifecycle.

  • Demonstrate a service-oriented approach.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively.

  • Work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Bring enthusiasm for creating engaging content for a variety of audiences.

  • Show keen attention to detail.

  • Approach work with an entrepreneurial spirit and positive attitude.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and follow-through skills.

Preferred but not required:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Leadership, or Business.

  • Internship or similar experience in Human Resources or employee engagement.
