About AWL

Our broader services include community education, pet boarding, veterinary care, pet cremation and memorial services, and our network of Thrift Shops. Everything we do supports our purpose of Supporting People to Support Animals.

Reporting to the People Operations Business Partner, you will:

  • Respond to routine People Operations enquiries and refer more complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate team member
  • Support payroll and rostering processes by providing accurate employee information and following up discrepancies
  • Maintain templates, forms, registers and records
  • Compile basic workforce reports and employee data
  • Help coordinate employee wellbeing, connection, learning and development activities
  • Support People Experience projects, WHS, Return To Work, volunteer engagement and improvements to our systems and processes

About you

  • High attention to detail with demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within timeframes
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to be flexible and re-prioritise work when required
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and autonomously under limited direction
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a range of stakeholders
  • Motivated self-starter, pro-active and applies initiative to develop solutions and improve business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain privacy, confidentiality, exercise discretion and sound judgement
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer)
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate / National Police Check (NPC) at commencement of employment and periodically at the request of AWL
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Commitment to AWL's vision, mission and beliefs, and understands, contributes to and aligns work/priorities to business strategies
