What they need

Who We Are:

Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited, and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food.  It was an immediate hit. When they discovered people from other companies sneaking into their office, they knew they were on to something.

Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 60 cities with over 100 million meals served and continue to grow rapidly. Powered by technology and a network of 3,500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. At Fooda, we believe a workplace food program should be something employees love and look forward to every day.

Requirements

The role
We're looking for a hands-on People Operations Partner to support a high-volume corporate food service program across multiple buildings and outdoor service sites in Memphis. This person is the onsite HR presence for the team. They work alongside the GM and frontline supervisors every day, and they partner with Corporate HR on policy, compliance, and escalations. The job is part HR generalist and part supervisor coach. You'll keep day-to-day people issues from becoming bigger problems.

What you'll do

  • Coach supervisors on attendance, performance conversations, documentation, and corrective action, so they handle issues consistently and early
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, and escalate to Corporate HR when needed
  • Own onboarding for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and making sure people are set up to succeed from week one
  • Track and maintain attendance and performance documentation across all sites
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and benefits questions with Corporate HR and payroll
  • Support recruiting for hourly and frontline roles, including scheduling interviews, coordinating offers, and keeping the pipeline moving
  • Administer company policies and keep the site compliant with employment requirements
  • Maintain accurate HR records, and report on headcount, turnover, and attendance trends to the GM
  • Be visible on the floor across buildings and service sites, so you understand how the operation actually runs

Decision rights
Corporate HR has final say on terminations, investigations, and any matter with legal exposure. The GM owns day-to-day operational people decisions. This role partners with both and helps keep the two aligned.

What you bring

  • 3–5 years of HR generalist or people operations experience
  • Experience supporting an hourly, multi-site workforce, with food service, hospitality, or facilities preferred
  • Working knowledge of Tennessee employment law and wage and hour basics
  • Comfort coaching managers and having direct conversations
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
  • Experience with an HRIS and basic reporting
  • PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus, not required

Benefits

What We’ll Hook You Up With:

  • Competitive market salary and stock options based on experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance plans
  • 401k retirement plan with company match
  • Paid maternity and parental leave benefits
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Company-issued laptop
  • Daily subsidized lunch program (ours!)
  • A fulfilling, challenging adventure of a work experience

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No phone calls or recruiters please.

The salary range for this role is between$68,000- $80,000 plus a bonus, and is dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to work experience, training, location, and skills.
