What they need

About Factory

Our mission is to create a world where software builds and improves itself.

We build the platform for self-improving software development, helping the world's largest enterprise engineering teams turn their organizations into autonomous software factories. Customers including Nvidia, Blackstone, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Palo Alto Networks, Adobe, and T-Mobile run Factory to ship code, review PRs, run tests, and deploy continuously - getting smarter with every cycle.

In 2026, we raised $200M at a $5B valuation, bringing our total funding to over $400M. We are backed by world-class investors and operators including Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Ali Ghodsi (CEO of Databricks), and Frank Slootman (Former CEO of Snowflake).

About the Role

The PeopleOps Coordinator supports daily HR operations, with a focus on employee benefits, onboarding, records, and employee questions. This role works closely with employees, benefit providers, payroll, and leadership to keep processes accurate, timely, and easy to understand.

  • Work with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, and other vendors.
  • Maintain required notices and documentation.
  • Support COBRA administration, leave coordination, and benefits reporting.

People Operations

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, system access, benefit enrollment, and exit documentation.
  • HRIS and systems ownership, such as maintaining accurate employee data, troubleshooting workflow issues, and coordinating system updates with vendors.
  • Process employee status, compensation, manager, and personal-information changes.
  • Assist with payroll preparation by reviewing benefit deductions and employee changes.
  • Prepare standard HR reports and complete employment verification requests.
  • Help document and improve HR procedures.
  • Provide administrative support for employee programs, audits, and compliance activities.

Employee support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for routine HR and benefits inquiries, providing timely responses and escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Explain policies and benefits in clear, practical language.
  • Handle employee information with discretion.
  • Route sensitive or complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.

What success looks like

During the first six months, the coordinator should:

  • Process benefit and employee changes accurately and on time.
  • Give employees clear, consistent answers or find the right answer quickly.
  • Maintain complete and reliable HR records.
  • Build productive working relationships with payroll and benefit vendors.
  • Identify recurring errors or questions and improve the related process or communication.

Qualifications

  • Required

    • 2–4 years of experience in HR coordination, benefits administration, payroll support, or a related role.
    • Working knowledge of employee benefits and common HR processes.
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Clear written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
    • Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, or applicant-tracking systems.
    • Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and document-management tools.
    • Ability to manage several deadlines without losing accuracy.

    Preferred

    • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
    • Experience supporting open enrollment and employee leave programs.
    • Familiarity with applicable requirements such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and state leave laws.
