PeopleSoft/SQL Developer

6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Location: Remote

Pay: $65 - 73/hr (Compensation can vary depending on experience) General Overview We are seeking a PeopleSoft Financials & SQL Developer to support the development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of enterprise financial applications. This role requires hands on expertise in PeopleSoft development, advanced SQL programming, financial reconciliation platforms, and enterprise application support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance application code, including reviewing and modifying existing programs as needed.
• Analyze business and technical requirements, develop functional and technical specifications, and review programming specifications.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot application issues, and assist end users and IT personnel with technical questions.
• Perform unit testing and assist with integration, system and other application testing activities.
• Plan and coordinate technical implementations to support successful application releases and system changes.

Requirements PeopleSoft Financial Development

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with PeopleSoft Financial modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and purchasing.

• Strong technical knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP development tools and technologies, including:

• PeopleSoft Application Designers (Application Engine, Application Packages, Integration Broker, Data Mover, Component Interface, People Code, Page/Component).

• Experience developing and maintaining SQR programs.

• Experience testing, troubleshooting, and supporting Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP environments, including HCM and Financial Management Syst4ems (FMS).

• Hands on experience with PeopleSoft Integration Broker and the development of REST API web services.

• Experience monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting scheduled and batch processing jobs.

• Ability to investigate complex application issues and implement reliable technical solutions.

Financial Reconciliation & SQL Development

• Experience with financial reconciliation software; Accurate strongly preferred (Trintech/Frontier may be considered with exceptional SQL skills).
• Expert-level SQL development skills, including the ability to create, maintain, and modify stored procedures, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, SQL Server Agent jobs, Complex SQL and T-SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, with an emphasis on SQL code accuracy, data integrity, and validation.
• Experience developing and maintaining SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and software design principles.
• Understanding of SQL Server security and configuration, including logins, permissions, roles, and linked servers.
• Experience working with SQL Server or comparable relational database platforms.
• Ability to write, analyze, debug, and optimize complex SQL statements.

Additional Technical Qualifications

• Experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and XML/XSLT.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices.
• Knowledge of file processing, handling, and manipulation tools and techniques.
• Willingness to work across multiple enterprise technologies beyond PeopleSoft, including modern development tools and AI-enabled solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) financial applications.
• Exposure to PeopleSoft HCM Payroll for North America and Benefits.
• Experience with additional scripting or programming languages, such as Python or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting and maintaining multiple enterprise applications simultaneously.
