Holiday Event Coordinator

Santa’s Cottage at Bell Farm Shops | York, Maine

We’re looking for an organized, friendly, dependable person to coordinate our Santa’s Cottage event days and help bring a little Christmas magic to our guests!

You’ll be the on-site point person, keeping setup on track, supporting staff and volunteers, welcoming families, managing guest flow, and helping resolve questions as they come up.

Schedule

• Event dates: Dec 7-10th 3:30pm-7:00pm
• Hours: 1–8 p.m. each event day, including setup, the 3–7 p.m. event, and breakdown.
• Training: One paid training day before the event to walk through the property, activities, staffing plan, and event procedures. Date and time to be arranged.
• Availability for all event dates and training is required.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate setup and make sure each activity area is ready before guests arrive.
• Check in staff, volunteers, and community partners so everyone knows their role.
• Keep Santa visits, crafts, refreshments, and guest arrivals running smoothly.
• Coordinate with the trolley team and help manage arrival questions.
• Monitor supplies, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with the owner.
• Lead end-of-night cleanup and reset the event spaces for the next evening.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Stay calm, kind, and resourceful when things get busy.
• Feel comfortable directing a team and making practical decisions.
• Enjoy working with families and young children.
• Have experience in events, hospitality, retail leadership, or a similar role.
• Are comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in winter weather and being on your feet throughout the shift.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.0 per week
