We are looking for a Performance & Partnering Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded accounting professional who enjoys working with data, building strong relationships and finding smarter ways of working.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll bring together management accounting, data analytics, financial modelling and commercial insight to support our organisation’s financial sustainability and strategic priorities. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and managers across the organisation you will provide trusted financial advice to support identifying opportunities for growth, efficiency and drive organisational performance.

You will bring your accounting expertise, commercial thinking and data insights to a role where your work directly supports better organisational decisions. You will help turn financial and operational data into meaningful insights, sound decisions and improved performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Commercial analysis by developing financial models and scenario analysis for new services, revenue opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money, including supporting national vendor and consumables management.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing timely, practical and well-considered advice.
• Supporting month-end, year-end and external audit processes.
• Analysing overheads and cost allocations across business units.
• Maintaining contracts, leases and registers, and monitoring renewals.
• Overseeing fixed asset processes and controls.
• Developing and implementing an annual internal controls audit programme.
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and improve processes, including through automation and AI.
• Tracking and supporting the remediation of audit findings.
• Combining financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

This is an opportunity to do more than produce financial reports. You’ll help shape business decisions, strengthen financial sustainability and contribute to the delivery of our strategic priorities.

About you

You’ll be a qualified accounting professional who combines strong technical accounting capability with curiosity, commercial thinking and an interest in data and technology.

You’ll bring:

• A relevant tertiary qualification and membership of CA ANZ or an equivalent professional body.
• Around 3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting, commercial or performance-focused role.
• Experience in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, modelling, mapping and/or data mining.
• An understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
• The ability to turn complex information into clear, compelling stories and visual formats.
• A genuine interest in technology, digital innovation, automation and the practical application of AI to improve financial processes and reporting.
