Performance Coach

Job Purpose: The Performance Coach is responsible for improving sales capability and performance within an assigned region through training, coaching, mentoring and practical sales enablement. The role identifies knowledge, skill and behavioral gaps, develops solutions, and ensures learning is translated into improved sales execution.

The successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, solutions-oriented and sales-minded, with the ability to independently identify opportunities and work closely with Store Managers, Sales Consultants and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver product, process, system, sales and soft-skills training
• Facilitate onboarding and induction for new Sales Consultants.
• Adapt training approaches according to the needs and capability levels of learners.
• Conduct assessments, provide constructive feedback and identify retraining or reinforcement requirements.
• Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback..
• Provide ongoing mentoring and actionable feedback to improve sales capability, confidence and customer experience.
• Identify barriers affecting sales performance and recommend practical solutions to improve sales execution.
• Support the implementation of new products, promotions, processes and sales initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, systems and processes and share relevant information with regional teams.
• Analyse sales and training information to identify trends, recurring challenges and performance gaps.
• Conduct training needs analysis and recommend targeted coaching, training or performance interventions.
• Monitor the effectiveness of interventions and follow through on agreed actions.
• Develop innovative approaches to coaching and training and promote continuous improvement.
• Build strong working relationships with Regional Managers, Field Managers, Store Managers and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Share best practices, insights and recommendations across the region.
• Maintain accurate training, coaching and performance records and provide relevant reports and insights to management.
• Participate in regional meetings, special projects and business initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric certificate or equivalent NQF qualification.
• Facilitator NQF Level 5 certification, including Unit Standards 117871 and 115789.
• Additional accredited training qualifications will be advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a professional trainer.
• Minimum 1 year's experience delivering Sales and Soft Skills training in a formal training environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
• Experience developing and delivering learning for adult learners.

Job Requirements

• Willingness to travel between regions, including occasional day and overnight travel.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and delivering training in informal or remote locations.
• Stable internet connection for virtual training.
• Valid driver's license.
• Vehicle less than 10 years old.
• Proof of business insurance with a 30-day car hire option.

Pay: From R22 000,00 per month
