Performance Manager

At British Gypsum we're looking for a Performance Manager to lead a team consisting of a Process Engineer, a Line Engineer and a Controls Engineer within our Gypsum manufacturing plant in Robertsbridge, East Sussex.

While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.

This Performance Manager role will be a part of our site operations team and will be responsible for delivering results, ensuring we meet our production targets and customer promise. You'll ideally be from a manufacturing or engineering background with experience of delivering continuous improvement initiatives and savings on cost and performance. You'll be an inspirational leader who will drive the department forward and coach and mentor your team to do the same!

British Gypsum is part of Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions (SGIS). Much of Britain has been built with British gypsum. Gypsum is the vital raw material at the heart of our plaster and plasterboard, and much of it is mined, milled and made in Britain. We have been mining gypsum for more than 150 years, a heritage we're very proud of.

This is full-time role working Monday to Friday days. We're offering a generous salary plus bonus, pension and lots of other flexible benefits too, including healthcare options.

What We're Looking For Engineering experience in large manufacturing, production or FMCG environment or similar

Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence experience

Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills. If you are proficient with Excel that would be great!

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous prioritiesWhat you'll be doing:

Responsible for managing your team's KPI's, lead your team to success and be accountable for H&S and performance

Develops a strategy for the next three years to meet targets set by the Site's Roadmap.

Implementation of the medium-term plans for the area, applying for Capex for projects

improvements

Drives and ensures completion of the WCM activities as identified for the Performance Team in the Single Agenda.

Uses data to analyse and forecast, ensuring that maintenance plan/activities are adjusted as required and that time is used effectively.
