Performance Tester

• 12 + 12 + 12 month  contract
• Canberra CBD office - Hybrid/2 days WFH
• 6+ yr's experience in performance testing required
• NV1 Security Clearance required

Our client, an Australian Government agency that manage biosecurity risks to Australia to protect our multi-billion-dollar agricultural industries, require the services of Performance Tester.

Duties of the Performance Tester:

• Contribute to the development, improvement, and governance of performance testing frameworks, standards, best practices, and guardrails;
• Apply strong technical expertise in performance testing tools and associated technologies, such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Azure Load Testing and Azure DevOps;
• Possess hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Wireshark, Splunk, and Azure Monitor;
• Build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared outcomes.

Skills required:

• Demonstrate a minimum of six years‘ experience in a Performance Test Lead or similar senior performance testing role;
• Demonstrate programming and scripting experience in one or more languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java, Python, and PowerShell;
• Experience supporting performance testing within complex enterprise environments;
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively tailor messaging to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Relevant industry certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), ISTQB Performance Testing Certification or Micro Focus LoadRunner Certification highly desired.
