Performance Tester (JMeter + Selenium)

About the role

Ascendion is seeking a Performance Tester (JMeter + Selenium) to join our Testing & Quality Assurance team on a contract basis. This role is based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Performance Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our applications meet performance standards and deliver optimal user experiences under various load conditions. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analysing performance tests using industry-leading tools, contributing directly to the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive performance test plans and scenarios using JMeter to simulate real-world user loads and identify performance bottlenecks
• Create and maintain automated performance test scripts using JMeter, including configuration of thread groups, assertions, and result analysis
• Perform end-to-end performance testing across web and mobile applications, utilising Selenium for browser-based automation where required
• Analyse performance test results, generate detailed reports, and provide actionable recommendations for optimisation
• Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes of performance issues and verify fixes
• Document performance testing procedures, test cases, and results for future reference and continuous improvement
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, executing performance tests as part of the release cycle
• Monitor application performance in staging and production environments, identifying and reporting anomalies
• Work with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and business stakeholders to establish performance benchmarks and acceptance criteria
